INVESTMENT CLUB PROPOSAL (Initial version)

Note from Marcia Stein: I have taken the liberty of drafting an initial proposal which may change depending on input. If there is interest and the Board needs to approve the club, we’ll need this type of paperwork.
PURPOSE
The purpose of our Investment Club is to inform members about financial management and investments.
HOW IT WORKS
- Educational topics would include types of investments such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.
- If individuals want to track stock performance, they will be directed to sites such as Yahoo Finance.
- Group members would each have $100K in “electronic practice money” which is like Monopoly money, and their chosen investments such as particular mutual funds or specific stocks would be tracked over time in a financial spreadsheet.
